+Aricle by Lea Shamaa, Amsterdam Alternative issue #066
Proud to share an article by Léa Shamaa, published in Amsterdam Alternative issue no. 066. Over the past months, Léa closely followed and interviewed us about STUDIO MAX & ELLE and the DOUBLE DATE project, resulting in this piece on the temporary infrastructure of anti-squat art spaces in Amsterdam.

+Pale Imitations
A short theatre play directed by Anne-Marie Connors written by Trash Skeleton performed in the DOUBLE DATE expo!
Pale Imitations the play
An obsessive creator has lost control of three unfinished pieces who take life and escape onto stage.
What does it feel like to be incessantly molded and reconstructed by an imperious perfectionist?
Three creations, three interpretations, one fate. . .

+Video Interview
Right at the beginning of DOUBLE DATE , Mika, Ronja & Belle came by our studio to film an interview with us for an assignment. They are currently studying Fine Arts at HKU and are very talented artists and critical thinkers; we are super excited to see what they will be working on in the next few years!
For the video, they asked us about life after graduation, dealing with the art field, and what our studio is about. A project space that started from excitement and collaboration, without calculating too much how to go for it or what possibly could go wrong.
Watch our thoughts unfold in the video via the link in our bio to get a glimpse into the early stage of DOUBLE DATE and what’s ahead!

What makes hair?
On November 23rd 2025, artist Sophie van den Berg hosted a workshop inside the DOUBLE DATE exhibition. Together, we explored the question by making hair in unconventional ways: Expanding what hair could be and what new possibilities might awaken once you see and use materials differently.
