STUDIO MAX & ELLE

STUDIO MAX & ELLE is an artist-led initiative founded by the independent artists Max Onink and Elle van Baaren. At its heart lie their individual artistic practices and a shared studio at Nieuw en Meer. Alongside their own work, they organise exhibitions, workshops and events that provide a space for artistic production, presentation and exchange.

For Max & Elle, organising is a way of creating the conditions for making, sharing and discussing work with others, without having to wait for permission. The initiative is self-organised and is based on horizontal collaboration and a shared passion for artistic experimentation.
